It was like warmth around her, sunshine that refused to fade, when he hugged her back. The smile that pressed shyly against her lips were bright and laughing, bubbles of laughter repressed as she pressed her face closer to his.
She didn't know how to explain this feeling of hers, whether or not it could be explained in words alone. The golden-haired teen was happy, euphoric even, but there was no real reason to explain this strange feeling that burned her insides in a strangely pleasant way, sizzling across her skin and warming her soul beyond belief. It was as if the sickness that had plagued her just moments before were gone in this single instant when his skin touched hers, even if she had not yet seen him in his human form. Well she had, but not properly.
At this thought, Anna pursed her lips and furrowed her eyebrows, hating the loss of warmth that it caused when she pulled away. She looked at him, her eyes gentle and soft, and wondered why he seemed so terribly uncomfortable when she was feeling so light and simply electrified. Reaching forward, the girl brushed her fingers against his dark coat, enjoying the warmth and sparks that it seemed to form, and then laughed softly again, pressing a hand softly - almost modestly - against her mouth, as she watched his eyes droop, as if he wanted to sleep. Jade eyes sparkling, she gazed fondly down at his figure and pressed her fingers further, as if stroking his charming face. He was handsome even in animal form, unlike her.
But all of a sudden, when he pulled away from her hold (which surprised more than hurt her), he turned back into a human and she had to blink in surprise to comprehend the fact, her pale face already flushed a deep rosy hue -- although from what she didn't know.
Eyes twinkling, another smile began to light her face and the golden-haired maiden, pushed herself gingerly to her feet and edged closer to him. She crouched down, bending her knees until her brilliant emerald-green eyes were align with his, and then looked him straight in the eye, as if her smoldering gaze was reading his every thought.
Then she laughed again, softer this time, and leaning on her palm - which rested on her thigh - Anna gazed thoughtfully at him, a sort of fondness in her gaze that seemed inescapable. "hey, why don't you like your human form?" she mumbled, reaching forward to entwine her hands in his. Her fingers danced across his palm, her cheeks already burning, and even Anna wasn't sure why she was feeling so particularly brazen and bold. The movements seemed to just come to her without thought. She looked at him for a long moment, smiling shyly, and then murmured, "Your girlfriend must think you're cute too."
Because, after all, when she had said he was cute, she wasn't talking as much about his animal form as she was about his human form.
And as her face burned at the thought, her heart also ached at her words; she didn't know why.
