It's freezing outside. Delicate flakes float from the sky almost constantly. For an island it sure is cold. Make sure to bundle up. Having a cup of cocoa next to a warm fire is a wonderful idea!

wink, just don't put your teeth on me...
The sun had gone. Drew yawned the cool night air, head dizzy from oversleeping; of course, most of those his age did the same, yet he could not help but feel quite annoyed at himself for missing sunset. Usually, it was much more convenient to leave right when his eyes won't explode, as the nighttime hours were in little amount with the warmer months- which, of course, included the wonderful season of spring.
You're being a hermit, Drew, he scorned himself, grabbing his hidden spear from where it resided between two smooth stones in an overgrown patch of daisies, and consequently, bees, which were all sleeping away in their hives at this hour of the night. As soon as his fingers touched the artificially smooth surface, he felt the wave of secrecy engulf him, sending both a twinge of annoyance and throb of reserve through his blood. Why must he hide?
Because you're an animal, he reminded himself sullenly. Of course, everyone on the island was somewhat animal, but only he was a real animal. The real hunting and lurking and hiding and weird animal, because he was an idiot, because he had slipped up. His dumbass fantasies of a bat-boy had lead to this, and if anything, Drew had learned not only to avoid experimentation, but not to dream. Purposes were for large minds, and wishes for little; and it seemed that Drew's brain was of a pebble size.
Across the way, he could see his target- an owl, sunken in the meadow's wavy, angelic hairs, talons nestled in its bleeding catch. It had taken a breather, a moment to sit, to hide. It was unaware, unknowing, of the predator above it, and the owl's oblivion rolled over Drew's tongue like something sweet and sour. His stomach rumbled, and to his shame, he longed to taste its sweet blood; unlike human blood, animal blood had flavors. And he would never tell you how he knew the contrast of tastes.
Hunting was not easy, and Drew had taken quite a while to accustom himself to it. Birds were especially a challenge, and quite difficult to drain as well, but the reward was great; they gave more substance than rodents, and tasted all the much better because of the protein bursting in their bodies. Drew had always liked meat when he had actually been able to digest it.
Spear in hand, he crept closer to the owl, who lowered its beak to check its catch. Praying it not to be a morpher, Drew ran his spear between his fingers, finding the knot he used to grip with his thumb. Breath shallow and warm on the roof of his mouth, Drew seized in a sharp intake, and dove with speed only practice could provide. The owl shrieked, but it was too late to take flight, and it only half unfurled its wings before Drew plunged the arrow into its back and rendered it immobile.
His heart ached for the beautiful creature, which lay by his feet like some sort of disgusting replica, squirming and trying to move despite its crippled state. "I'm sorry," he whispered, and then picked up its dead weight and pulled from his pocket a shiny, silver dagger. He pressed the end into its neck, searching for the artery that would stop his stomach from roaring. He sliced its walls and the pumping heart sent blood spurting at his head, hitting him square in the eye with a crimson fountain.
The blood ran down his face and he directed his mouth in the way, clamping it down on the owl's neck and holding its head to avoid being clamped down by its vengeance-seeking beak. It tasted sweet and satisfying as it ran down his throat into his shrunken belly, and he all at once damned whoever it was that invented a creature as despicable as vampire bats; while the animal itself did not drain too much from a victim, nor did it typically kill it, when fused with a human, it was quite a different story.
When the owl was nearly dry, he loosened his hands about its face, and received a nasty bite on the cheek. It ripped his skin and Drew shouted out, jerking away, only increasing the wound's critical state. Then the owl's grip slackened, loosing its life lifeline, and died in Drew's angry grip. He dropped the body and stood up shakily, blood dripping from his mouth and running down his face, fright leaving the predator's crimson paint sitting in his mouth at the tightening of his throat muscles.
Finally, he swallowed, and squinted the eye that received apart of the pulses of pain, grabbing his wound with a dirty hand and pulling at his blood-soaked shirt with the other. Between his messy feeding and the pumping of his own lifeline down his face, neck and onto his shirt, its blue-and-navy striped surface tainted a nasty, deep red in the gleaming moonlight.
"Shit, shit, shit, SHIT, SHIT!" he shouted, kicking a lump of dirt in his anguish. Now he'd have to go around with a gash on his face, without a shirt, and be forced to go out in sunlight to get what he needed. Injuries were never on Drew's side- they led to infections, hospital fines, and who knows what else.

whats this eating me haunting me with every corner i turn i can't escape; it's my shadow always there - always following me yet it's so unfamiliar...
du-dum. du-dum. du-dum.
Paws drummed on the ground, the cat's eyes wild. What had she become?! An animal. A beast - a DEMON! She stopped and raised a paw to her face once more, just to double check. She gave a startled snarl and shook her head in anger. NO! No. No. No. There had to be a way to control this. To prevent that. To end it all. She was a monster, she could not face any one. This island was just to scary, too odd, too unfamiliar. She hissed, feeling a stinging behind her eyes. If lions could cry, she would be.
She felt a ripple of tingles run down her spine and throughout her body in a wave. In just a blink she was standing upright. She waved her hand in front of her face. She couldn't control it! Why not? She wanted to throw herself on the ground and throw a tantrum. She would restrain herself - she was surrounded by unfamiliarity, anyway. Instead, she let hot tears stream down her face. It was just as bad. It was humiliating enough for the crime she had committed.
She hiccuped a sob as she fell backwards and hit her back on a tree, sliding down until she was sitting on the ground and leaning against the sturdy palm behind her. She had become something she had never thought she would ever be. She had always wondered what she would be if she were anything else. Maybe a dog... a bird? A fox seemed cool. Possibly even a squirrel. She had chuckled at these thoughts back then. This was one of the few memories of her past life that she had. Yes!
She remembered it! She DID have a past life! ... Right? Frustration crossed her face once more. It wasn't funny now, not a bit. Now she knew the answer to the question she had playfully pondered so many times. A lion. Such a vicious creature it could be. She learned that now. So loyal and ready to lead... but quick to react and dangerous when it snaps. She ground her teeth together in annoyance.
She wished to never meet any other being. Ever again. She would leave in a cave, all by herself, slowly wasting away. She was already about to give up life on this island. After just a day, too. How sad. After what she did earlier, she couldn't imagine ANYONE willing to live any longer in her position. No - anyone with a kind heart would have prevented that. She was just too much of an evil child. Her vision blurred; eyes covered by a veil of tears. They just kept coming...
It was about then that something she hadn't noticed before caught her attention. A scent drifted to her nose. She inhaled deeply trying to determine what it was. Salty... kind of rusty. Strong. Blood. Ew. This brought on a new wave of moisture to the girl's eyes. It reminded her of the pain she could inflict, the blood she could make spill. How cruel this world was. How stupid of her! She just sat here as the strong scent of blood overcame her.
She had not gotten up to check if everything was alright. Silly of her! So silly! She was too busy moping about than caring for another person's well being. She could be so selfish. Her shaky breathing softened as she tried to listen. Her legs wobbled as she tried to get to her feet, using the tree as support. Curiosity had finally overcome her. This was more like her. She tried to speak but her voice was caught. Instead she followed her nose, trusting it to lead the way.
It was then that she saw him, sitting there, bleeding severely. She covered her mouth with her hand in surprise, her eyes widened in horror. Without thinking she ran forward to help him, stopping suddenly - her arm extended. She wanted to help, but she was afraid she'd have another fit and instead hurt him. She contemplated what to do. She shook her head. No - she had to help.
"A-are you okay?!" she gasped in shock, her breathing still shaking and tears still streaming from her face.

i feel like a monster...
And then she was there. A girl, some morph, out of nowhere, not coming near him, but staying close enough for him to want to cut her up and drink her blood, too. And while he wouldn't, the appeal of it was tempting, and he swallowed what of the owl's blood remained in his mouth to shut up the urgings in the back of his head.
He was annoyed, furious, angry. He wanted to kill himself for being so stupid, for thinking that morphing was so easy, that it was something to experiment with. He wanted to throw the owl in the fires for biting his face, and he just wanted to get his hands on something and maim it until it was nothing but churned flesh and then suck its blood and leave it dry. Stupid vampire bats.
"No, I'm not okay!" he shouted, and bit his lips at his outburst. It wasn't nice, he reminded himself, to scream at random strangers who ran up to see if he was dead or not. But he was frustrated with life, especially with the rising sun that began to bleed into the horizon, and the way his eyes slowly began to ache with the pressure of it all.
"Sorry," he mumbled, still gripping his wound, and tugged at his blood-soaked shirt. It began to dry onto his body, and he tore if off quickly, knowing all too well how hard it was to get off dried blood. He threw it onto the grass as if it were some sort of bomb he just wanted to be rid of, covering the owl's mangled body in the process.
"Sorry," repeated Drew, and he removed his hand. As he did, blood dripped down his face at a fast rate, dappling the increasingly green meadow below. He swore below his breath and placed his hand back over the wound, applying more pressure than needed. His pale, defined chest was splattered with the red as it dripped of his scarred jaw.
"I- I need to get somewhere, and, like, stop the bleeding, uh... before the sun rises," Drew said quickly, urgently, almost pleadingly, throwing himself on a whim to rely on the generousness of this girl. She would stare at him funny, laugh, say he's crazy, and run away, morphing into a beautiful whatever and flyingrunningswimmingjumpingsomething into the sunset, leaving the bat-boy to go blind.
"Because I'm stuck as a half bat and I'll go blind in the sun so likepleasehelpmepleasepleaseplease," he added quickly and then wiped his hand on his face, smearing his blood without meaning to.

will i ever learn to crush the foul beast that rides my back and mirrors my every move will i ever learn... to train it for my benefit
blink. blink. sob. sigh. blink... THINK
Cassy stumbled back in shock at his outburst. Her tears came faster and with greater strength. Her confused look turned to one of hurt. She opened her mouth wanting to speak, but his apologies cut her off. She closed her mouth and tried to blink away her tears. Her face felt wet and kind of cracked from where the dried tears were on her skin. She rubbed her face, trying to rid of the wet drops that slid down her cheeks. The red and puffy skin around her navy eyes did not necessarily look unappealing. She shook her head, a silent sign that it was okay.
She watched as he took away his hand, letting blood drip on his bare chest. Normally her mind would blank when looking at a half-naked body, but in this type of situation, she was more focused than that of 'another other moment'. She let her eyes raise to meet his once more, watching his hand re-cover his wound. Yes, he needed to be somewhere. He needed to be taken care of... like someone else that she left.
She winced.
Not now. She looked away for a split second before Cassy heard the boy's voice once more. Needed to get somewhere else? Sounded smart. She gave a sharp nod, her lips pressed together in a solid, thinking line. Where... where to? Her eyes scanned quickly, looking, searching. Cave. Cave. No cave. Come on! There had to be at least one. Far off in the distance she thought she spotted something.
She looked at him, an odd smile sitting in a crooked position on her face. Her tears were still coming, but they were softer and slower now. Her expression looked a little more at ease and she gave a sarcastic laugh.
"And I'm a vicious lion that could tear you to shreds, yet you want help."
She winced once more.
She jerked her head in the direction of the object in the distance. That was her destination. Without checking to make sure he was following - she charged off. Suddenly she realized what she was doing and stopped to let him pass so she could take up the rear incase anything happened. Come to think of it - her remark could have been taken sarcastic and joking - even though it wasn't.
Whoops. She neared the distant THING and realized it was an arch of flowers. Well THAT was helpful. She snorted but noticed that behind the arch, in fact, as a cave. Okay... maybe her decision wasn't that bad. She turned to smile at the 'batboy' and led the way.
"I won't go in. I'm afraid what I might do to you." She looked away with these words. She'd wait at the mouth of the cave where she could see him - but not in the dark where she could hurt him. She was, in fact, afraid of herself and the power and strength she was capable of.

inside out, upside down twisting beside myself...
He held back a smile that was so bright it could have blinded him anyway. Without any argument or comment, he followed his guardian angel, his savior, the one who wasn't going to leave him to rot in the meadow covered in blood with a dead owl nearby. Her comment didn't even shake him; lions, bah, whatever. They reminded him of the Wizard of Oz.
He stopped at the cave entrance and arched his eyebrow, watching her face suspiciously for any play, that maybe her movie-class comment was simply a dramatic tease. That she was threatening him somehow. But nothing was on her face but pure fear, guilt, and something else. All at once he wanted to dive into the cave's shadows and away from the emotional mess he had run into, but the decency and good manners his mother had taught him did not waver.
"It's not any worse than what I've done to myself," he said with a small, pained smile, the intake of breath sending a wave of dizziness from his head. The blood loss was getting to him. He staggered and grabbed the edge of the rock, his head throbbing, a wave of nausea wiping over his body. His stomach churned and gurgled with what it had just recently taken in, and in one smooth motion, Drew belched loudly and a crimson waterfall spilled between his parted lips.
"Sorry, sorry, I'm fine don't worry," he said quickly and straightened up, wiping the blood from his mouth. How to heal, how to get better? He thought of the vampire bat, its face unmarked, unscathed, but all he could think of was all the blood he had just lost from both his belly and his body. All of that wasted blood, and now he'd have to sleep for days to recover, go on extra hunts... he wanted to slit his throat.
But instead he smiled weakly. "Thank you, liongirl," he commented, an irritating flutter erupting in his heart. He ignored the urge he had to assist the girl, to make her feel better, knowing that she had her mind made up about keeping away, even if he wanted to offer her a hand and help. She smelled lovely, and it was not her blood pumping below her skin that scented of the fresh ocean on a bright and early morning.
He watched her face, and suddenly, he blanked. All at once he felt his body fall away, crumpling into something uglier, much more terrible. The vampire bat squealed, Drew squealed, and he fluttered into the cave, into the darkness, where she couldn't see his pushed-in face with the ugly spurting teeth or the rodent-like body stitched with stout, hideous fur. Instead he hooked the top of the cave, as far away as possible, and squeezed his eyes shut and waited for her to leave.

for me, there is no hope this beast will not be vanquished forever i will be haunted i endanger others and my life is doom in it's self
pat. pat. pat. pat. pat.
She heard drops. Rain drops. Stupid reminders of lightning. Stupid reminders of her stupid fear - her attack. Her wild nerves. It reminded her of it too much. She shook her head angrily and watched the boy out of the corner of her eyes. She watched as he staggered off and vomited a crimson liquid. Blood? Naturally, that was not a good sign. However on THIS island, no one could be quite sure, could they?
Cassy turned her head away in disgust. She had this thing with vomit. It just made her stomach flip. She herself would never repel her lunch through lips at the sight, but it did make her feel sick. He better be fine, because she didn't want to help someone vomiting other body fluids that shouldn't have been in the stomach in the first place.
She kept her mouth tied shut, not speaking aloud. She was a shy creature and with the harm she had just caused to...Lucas. There she got the name out. Lucas. With what she had done to him, she was not willing to converse. Psh! She must have seemed like the cowardly lion. She turned to look when he spoke to her. His expression scared her.
She hoped - prayed to whoever watched over this island - that he was not falling for her. Oh goodness, no. She would not stand it if she grew bonds with yet another person who's heart she could easily tear out and rip to shreds. Figuratively and physically. She couldn't bare it. She had to look away, a frown tugging at her mouth. She heard his squeal and took that as a sign of his fear of her. Oh goodness! What the hell had she done now? She looked around frantically to find her standing where she had first planted herself. However, batboy was no where to be seen.
Her shoulders relaxed. She heard wings - light as if those of a bat. Well, what do you know... Cassy strode to the entrance of the cave. "I'd give you an example of myself, but I don't have a clue how to control it, and I'm afraid of what I'm capable of." She tucked her hands in the pockets of her pants. She stopped at the very opening of the cave. About to step into daylight.
"The name is Cassy. I'll be sitting here, if you need me."
She'd let him calm down. She herself just wanted to sit and weep.
And that's what she did. Not a moment after she sat down, she felt the water works start up once more. She did not sob and gasp or anything like that. No, she silently let her eyes drip, her face looking out away from the cave so that batboy could not see. Lucas.... she had hurt him. She had deserted him. All she wanted was to get off this island now.
Either that, or kill the beast that she was.

and any boy you'll ever meet, sweetie, you'll have me...
If she thought he couldn't see her, she obviously didn't know too much about bats. He could see, from the map in the back of his head, the tears, a watery substance that reflected sound all too well, as they welled up in her eyes and ran down her cheeks, all the while stabbing Drew in the heart.
He nearly chuckled. Vampire, stabbed in the heart? Haha, that was funny. But he knew that it was particularly rude to let a young woman sit on the floor and cry her heart out without providing some reassurance; but he didn't want to. He didn't want to try to comfort her, say the wrong thing, and end up pissing someone off. Hide, little bat, hide.
You're becoming a hermit, Drew, he told himself and nearly sighed, but bats didn't have the same breathing patterns as humans, and it came out a shrill shriek that shocked even himself. He fell from the roof of the cave and hit it in a loud thump, and morphed back into a human before the pain could come. It did anyway, and he rubbed his throbbing elbow.
"Hey, what's wrong?" he said as softly as he could, hiding the strain in tension in his voice as he crawled over to her, sitting right before her face, cross-legged. She couldn't see him as well as he could see her in the dark, every inch of her as clear as she would be to any normal person in the daylight; minus the fact that he couldn't see the pigmentation, or the colors.
She was quite... pretty. The thought stung him, a sour reminder of something before the island, but he pushed it away and instead fascinated over his thought. Her face, even with its puffy red eyes and downward-twisted lips, held a sort of beauty that made Drew's hands get clammy, and he prayed she wouldn't grab them for whatever a reason and be repulsed by their moistened state.
What did people do when people were sad? He didn't know- he didn't know much about communication in the first place. He had wandered the island on his own for so long, away from other people, it had mostly just been talking to himself, the other bats, or sleeping, and neither of these involved pure human interaction.
A thought crossed him, a memory of before the island, and he followed the motions of the memory, reaching out and brushing a hair behind her ear. He pursed his lips and said, "Shhh, it'll be okay..."

past memories - will they haunt me flipping me inside out and cutting me off from the real world and what a life is will i never get to know what love is just because of one simple slip that forever keeps me bound up mentally
thud. thud. thud. thud.
The quiet drumming of her heart stayed steady except for when it trembled with her shaky breathing. She tried to muffle the sobs that echoed in chest, ricocheting inside her lungs, wishing to be free. She suddenly didn't feel alone anymore. She fell backwards as she saw a face in front of hers.
How she hated it when she blanked.
She sat straight up again, turning her head to avoid his eyes. How to explain... would she explain... no. If she did tell him he might leave, and that was the last thing she wanted. To be utterly alone where she could wreak havoc on anyone at anytime. That was a true nightmare to be had.
That's when he crossed the line. He reached out for her, almost making complete contact with her skin. She felt her nerves freak and she jumped back in alarm. "No! I don't want t- to hurt y-" She felt overcome and warm wave of tingles ran up her spine and throughout her body.
She opened her eyes, finding herself hunched over on the ground, her paws covering her eyes. She stayed frozen, afraid that if she moved she might hurt him. No - not the lion!! Not the beast! Cassy rumbled a growl and hunched even lower to the ground, her stomach pressed strongly down. She shook her head vigorously. She wanted to go back! She wanted to be human again. She didn't want to be this monster.
She got to her paws and felt another warm wave run through her body and she was standing on her feet now, looking down at the boy. Tears now slid down her cheeks once.
"Lucas..." She whispered and looked away.
This word was probably a mystery to Drew, but for Cassy, it meant a lot.
"I've already hurt someone. I didn't want a second." In just a day on this island she could have torn two people to pieces without really able to stop her actions. She was something to be feared on this island. She may not be the only large cat around, but she was an uncontrollable one. Even she could not control herself. And for that, she was dangerous. Before she knew it she could be chased down by people carrying pitchforks and torches, trying to drown her at sea.
She gave an aggravated cry and fell to the ground, her legs crossed. She leaned to the side where her side was on the ground and her head was resting on the flood of the cave. She let her legs uncross so that she was just sprawled sideways. She was overcome by fatigue and weariness. She wished she could go to sleep and wake up from this nightmare and to return to her life wherever and whatever it was.
This just had to be a dream... that had to be it.

we want a revolution and we're waging war again...
She was a lion. Drew pulled back in shot, moreso in fright, his body tingling as if it were begging him to turn into a bat; yet he didn't, and suddenly, she was back again. Of course she wouldn't have stayed lion for long. Her concentration was blurred because of her emotional state. To morph you had to have a clear mind, and your eye right on the target.
Like a boy with bat wings? He shuddered.
"Lucas? What's wrong with him?" he asked, the name somewhat familiar, though not so that he could think of anyone by that alias. Instead he cocked an eyebrow, and then said, "You can't control your morphing." For some reason, this innocence made him smile, but he smacked his hand over his mouth. A lion could cause major damage, nothing near as meek as a vampire bat.
"Sorry," he apologized in a mumble, and watched her for a moment. Then he took a deep breath and said, "You're not going to do yourself any good sitting around and crying... morphing takes practice, and... it's not a game." Of course it wasn't a game. It hurt him that he could admit it when it was impossible only a month ago. But this wasn't about him.

do you see now the beast i am the danger i can cause the reason i should be feared
tip. tiptip. tip. tiptip- tip. tip.
She listened to her tears hitting the ground before she sat back up and looked at the boy talking to her. A frown tugged at her face and she averted her eyes, still facing him however. Should she tell him? He was the one who asked, after all. Either way, he had already seen her uncontrollable danger. What was there to hide now?
She continued to sit silently, not daring to speak. He realized her problem and when he expressed his reaction, Cassy just closed her eyes tightly. It was not that that caused her to do so. She instead closed her eyes to collect her thoughts and memories. The problem was that she did not know how to explain this without crying or getting upset.
She let her navy eyes wander back to his when her lids finally, but slowly, opened. If he was willing to listen, she was willing to tell. He might not enjoy the story, and he might leave her, but she was willing to take that risk. It was better than him being unprepared and having her attack him by accident, probably either killing him or scarring him for life.
She'd try her best to make this short and sweet.
"Lucas. First person I met on this island. Got here yesterday. Storm..." She looked outside the cave where water drops still fell. She shivered as she pictured the sky lighting up with a flash of yellow white light. Ug. She hated it. "Lightning, hug, nerves... lion... attack..." It was only a few words, but it probably got the point across. She didn't know whether it was the hug or the lightning that triggered it. Probably both. All she knew was that her fear of that illuminating jagged bolt of light set her on such edge that she could hurt a person.
More tears started to form. How she hated being a stupid lion. She could have been a song bird... a monkey... a chipmunk! No. She had to a lion. A lion didn't even portray her in her opinion! She was not brave and fearless, strong and proud. No - she was a shy little timid girl with a lack of opinions.
And not long ago she had just attacked an innocent boy. A friend.

in the middle of a gunfight, in the center of a restaurant...
Lion attack? Drew frowned, and for some reason, he couldn't help but want to hug the girl out of pure happiness- and also pity. So maybe he wasn't so alone, maybe he wasn't the only morpher with animal troubles. But this could be far worse than any bloodlusting teenager; even he, a vampire bat with an appetite, was no match for the strength of a lion.
Zoe was. He could remember Zoe, the wild teen he had ran into in the forest, nearly peeing himself. She was a freaking tiger.
"It's okay, it's alright," he said quietly and, despite the squirming in his stomach that made him reluctant to act, he took her hand and squeezed it comfortingly. Drew had nothing else to say to her, and the quiet began to itch and burn at his skin. It roared in his ears despite its hollowness.
He should tell her something to make her feel better. To make her situation less... terrible. Drew took in a sharp breath, and then he forced a smile. "It's not that bad. It's not as bad as me, and I can promise you this much; there's always going to be worse." His smile disappeared and he drew in his lips to bite then with fanged teeth, another feature that made him more vampiric. It was annoying, as it often led to bleeding tongues or lips, and he wondered how vampire bats could ever operate with them jutting out of their mouths, as his weren't even as large in comparison to his other dental tools.
"I'm an expert morpher," he explained slowly and searched her face for any indication of relief as he continued. "I can half-morph, quarter-morph, toss human and animal attributes around... but I don't anymore. It's dangerous. I thought... I thought maybe I could get bat wings as a human, or maybe something cool, like bat-senses. But I screwed up, and now I can't eat normal food, I have to drink blood." He let out a light laugh and squeezed her hand again. "It's crappy."
She smelled like the fresh ocean breeze; it was pleasant and made him slightly dizzy, but it was the good kind of dizzy that made him want to press his nose into her hair and breath it in more. Which would be creepy. So he didn't. Instead he focused on the smell of her blood below her skin, which was appealing, yet scented strange and unnatural, as did most human blood. Bats had an acute sense of smell. He hated that.
Then an idea came into his head. He could teach this lioness how to transform, how to morph to expertise and prevent the wild from taking over. He was an expert morpher, and although he refused to recklessly experiment, he knew the basic animal-to-human and vice versa all too well. And it would give him an excuse to see her again.
"If you want to learn, I can help you. There's no risk with the typical morphing, and I can teach you how to not loose it," he offered slowly and averted his eyes to the floor, not wanting to see what they held when she rejected. "I have a friend, Zoe, she's a tiger. A Siberian tiger, and they're the largest big cats on Earth, bigger and stronger than lions, so there's no risk of you hurting anyone..."

i come with caution tape bubble wrap and your obituary yet you persist to hang around
there is no sound - i've cut off all my senses
To the world, to her heart, to her life. Might as well write her death wish. Her last words. "I've already killed three people and now I've thrown myself off a cliff..." Was that even possible? Could you even destroy yourself in this world? That would be horrible! No way to rid of herself! Then again, she wouldn't be able to rid of anyone else. No deaths, we're all good... right? Wrong. You can still cause harm. Her eyes narrowed.
Cassy's mouth turned into a crooked and almost ironic smile. She started off into a distance, not focusing on what Drew said. No, her thoughts had consumed her. Now it was drifting elsewhere, going where it wanted when it wanted, not even waiting for her orders. She waved her hand as if dismissing his words. She shook her head. It was pointless for him to help. As nice as if seemed, she didn't want to get him wrapped up in this.
She absently nodded her head, acting as if she was listening. Maybe just a refreshing walk would work. Quiet, calm, easy going. She could come back and meet Drew later. She'd plan a few things with him maybe ask for help... she may never see him again. It just all depended.
Cassy rose to her feet, still staring at the samne point. Slowly she turned and raised a finger to her lips, asking for silence. She had suddenly grown calm and almost bubbly. Where it came from, she had no clue. She liked it though. She liked it very much. With a smile she turned away from Drew.
"See you later! I have a walk to take. Good luck!"
Good luck with what? That was stupid. Drew probably thought she was an idiot now, but whatever. As long as she didn't come across Lucas, she'd be good. Suddenly something hit her. She looked down to see his shirt still on her. She blushed before quickly glancing behind her and rushing off.
